Synopsis

A sensory journey through Menorcan gastronomy, a cuisine of cultural fusion in which the products (and their producers) blend together to create a new, magical and unrecognisable flavour. A metaphor in which nothing is what it seems, in which a beekeeper fishes or a fisherman gathers vegetables. Because in a great dish, everything is fused, nothing acts on its own, but through an ordered amalgam of sensations. A taste of Menorca.

Objectives

Menorca held the mandate of European Region of Gastronomy in 2022, awarded by theInternational Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT). The aim is to highlight local products, producers and the gastronomic richness of Menorca thanks to the heritage of different cultures. The trades are intertwined in a dance in which borders are blurred. This is not a mistake, it is a living metaphor. In Menorca, in its cuisine, everything is connected to thrill the diner.
